White Collar Criminal, Antitrust, Complex Business
Plaintiff Counsel: U.S. Department of Justice
“The Communication Web”

Problem:
In this federal antitrust/price-fixing prosecution, which involved large container shipping from Puerto Rico, there were few documents in which the defendant actually spelled out his part in the scheme, although others who admitted responsibility pointed to him as a major player.

Solution:
Clear Case Legal strategized, designed and produced a number of graphics for the Justice Department that established a base theme (shown here and then reprised in other graphics) that the executive had to have participated because of the preponderance of communications between him and the others indicted.

The jury found the executive guilty.
