“Anatomy of a merger”

Problem:
In this landmark class action lawsuit, which involved stock manipulation, the complex Merger and Acquisition processes had to be presented to the jury for them to understand the key role played by the defendant, investment bank Bear Stearns.

Solution:
Among the almost 50 graphics strategized and designed for mock trial and trial, Clear Case Legal provided a visual roadmap to help jurors understand the nuances of the Merger and Acquisition process.

We also produced a series of other tutorials to lay foundation, then honed in on key documents that evidenced fraud. A video montage dramatically spotlighted contradictory testimony by key defense witnesses. And a timeline clearly demonstrated the impact of the bank’s Fairness Opinion and the SEC’s subsequent Restatement.

The result: a sizeable settlement in favor of our client.
